[6173] Architect

Start date: Negotiable
Clearance: NATO Secret or equivalent
Location: The Hauge, Netherlands.

Activities of the role:

• Support the development of enterprise and solution architectures across business, infrastructure, and functional domains.
• Assist in the application of architecture tools, methodologies, standards, and governance processes.
• Evaluate architecture change requests and deviations from approved specifications, recommending appropriate actions.
• Ensure technical strategies, security policies, standards, and best practices are consistently applied.
• Contribute to system-of-systems design and architecture governance within complex federated environments.
• Support the design of integration architectures, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native or hybrid solutions.
• Develop and maintain architecture models using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches.
• Work within NATO architectural frameworks and interoperability standards to support capability development.

Skills & experience:

• Active NATO SECRET security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or IT-related discipline, plus 3+ years' relevant experience, or 5+ years' equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, system-of-systems design, and architecture governance.
• Strong knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML and tools such as Cameo or Capella.
• Experience with enterprise and solution architecture methodologies.
• Understanding of NATO architectural frameworks and interoperability standards, including NAF, FMN, STANAGs, and Tactical Data Link (TDL) constraints.
• Experience designing APIs, microservices, and integration architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud-native and hybrid deployment architectures.
• Experience defining and managing interface control and system integration.
• Ability to assess architectural compliance, technical risks, and design changes.
• Experience working in multinational, military, or highly regulated environments is desirable.
• Knowledge of NATO's organisational structure and operating environment is advantageous.
